Abstract:
This research aims to study human resource management process affecting organizational
commitment: a case study of Production department employees at ABC Company. The sample
in this research were a total of 257 Production department employees at ABC Company
had working period of 3 years and over. A questionnaire was used as a research tool.
The data obtained were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, namely frequency distribution,
percentage, mean and standard deviation. Inferential statistics were used in hypotheses
testing by multiple regression analysis. The research results indicated that human resource
management process and the organizational commitment of Production department
employees at ABC Company had a high level of the total mean. Also, the results of this study
represented that human resource management process in the aspects of safety and health
(β = 0.391, P < 0.01) and performance evaluation (β = 0.186, P < 0.05) positively affected
the organizational commitment of Production department employees at ABC. The predictive
power of all the variables was 41.10 percent (AdjR2 = 0.411).
