Abstract:
The study aimed: (1) to study the performance states according to the internal control standard of the schools attached to the Special Education Bureau, (2) to compare the performance states according to the internal control standard of the schools attached to the Special Education Bureau as classified by positions, working experience, and types of the schools and (3) to explore the problems and recommendations on the performance in line with the internal control standard of the schools affiliated to the Special Education Bureau. The samples used in the research were 477 school administrators and teachers, determined by Krejcie and Morgans table and drawn by Stratified Random Sampling. The research instrument was a five-rating scale questionnaire of five choices and an open-ended questions. Its confidence value was equivalent to .98. Statistics used in data analysis were means, standard deviation, t-test, F-test, and if significant differences were found, Scheffes paired method was employed.
The research findings were as follows:
1. The performance states according to the internal control standard of the schools attached to the Special Education Bureau were found to be at a high level both in overall and the individual aspects.
2. A comparison of the performance states according to the internal control standard of the schools attached to the Special Education Bureau as classified by positions showed a significant difference at 0.1. However, when it was classified by working experience, and types of schools, it was found that there was no difference.
3. Concerning problems and recommendations, the aspect as a whole revealed that of highest score was the information and communications. The problem found was the school or educational establishment provided a special channel to enable the persons to provide information on fraud and corruption. Still, there was not enough security. It was recommended that there should be a special outlet or channel for communications so that the personnel could carry out tasks and duties in a secure and reliable fashion.
