Abstract:
This research aimed to 1) examine the level of organizational citizenship behavior, self-awareness and organizational trust, 2) examine the relationship between self- awareness and organizational citizenship behavior, 3) examine the relationship between organizational trust and organizational citizenship behavior, 4) predict organizational citizenship behavior from self-awareness and organizational trust of employees. Samples were 360 academic support staff in autonomous University. The research instrument was a questionnaire. Statistics used in data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression analysis.
Results indicated that 1) organizational citizenship behavior was in a high level, self-awareness was in a high level and organizational trust was in a high level,
2) self-awareness was associated with organizational citizenship; the relationship was in a high level (r= .646) at a statistical significance level of .01, 3) organizational trust was associated with organizational citizenship; the relationship was in a high level (r= .657) at a statistical significance level of .01, and 4) organization trust total, self-awareness in accurate self-assessment and self-awareness in emotional awareness could predict organizational citizenship behavior of academic support staff in autonomous University at 55.80% at a statistical significance level of .01.
