Abstract:
This research is a qualitative research on the adaptation of cabin crew to perform in premium service businesses under the COVID-19 circumstance. The purposes of this research were to study the problem of cabin crew career transition to high-value service sectors, to analyze employee characteristics required by premium service enterprises and to suggest ways to support cabin crew or similar jobs can be efficiently adapted to operate in the high-value service sector, during the COVID-19 pandemic. The tools used to collect this research data It consists of documented research and semi-structured in-depth interviews. The results showed the things that cabin crew had to adjust to in order to change jobs the most were 1. Lower income, 2. Work schedule, and 3. New skills needed in office operations. The advantage of a cabin crew in a career transition to a premium service business is that the appearance, skills, personality, language and attributes of a cabin crew are the same as those of a business person. And what need to add is business skills, technological know-how and specific documents.
