Abstract:
The objectives of this research are 1) to study the problems that cause social enterprise to be disadvantageous in the competition, 2) to study the causes and effects resulting in the competitive disadvantage of social enterprise, 3) to study the competitive advantage factors and the application of social enterprise, 4) to study the factors influencing the purchasing decisions of products of social enterprise and 5) to suggest the approaches for the development of competitive advantage of social enterprise.
It is found that 1) the problems that cause social enterprise to be disadvantageous in the competition include the problems resulting in the competitive disadvantage of the social enterprise in the management, marketing, personnel and production. 2) The causes of competitive disadvantage of the social enterprise include the lack of knowledge and competence of the entrepreneurs, the mistake in marketing process, the lack of knowledge and competence of the personnel, and the lack of production technology. 3) The competitive advantage factors of social enterprises include the social work values, image of social contribution of social enterprise, the social enterprise network, the community participation, the local wisdom, the knowledge management, the business innovation organizations, the tax advantage and the financial source support. 4) The factors influencing the decision to buy products of social enterprise involve marketing, psychology and society. 5) The approaches for developing the competitive advantage of social enterprise are development on social work values, development on creativity and innovation from local wisdom, development on the balance between business and society, development on the competence in knowledge management, development on the corporate image, development on the application of knowledge from local wisdom, development on the social enterprise network, development on community involvement, development on tax incentives, and development on funding sources.
