Causal model of human capital effect on employee performance and organizational performance of electric vehicle part manufacturing in the eastern economic corridor, Thailand
Abstract:
This research aimed to develop the casual model of human capital effecting on employee performance and organizational performance and to study the characteristics of human capital effecting on employee performance and organizational performance of electric vehicle part manufacturing in the Eastern Economic Corridor. This was the mixed methods explanatory sequential design from the quantitative research by collecting data through questionnaires from 450 chiefs production of electric vehicle part manufacturing in the Eastern Economic Corridor and were analyzed with the structural equation model, and then applied the qualitative method with the in-dept interview from 11 production managers, and then integrated together the qualitative results and the quantitative results. As the quantitative results found that the human capital had the direct positive effects on the effectiveness of job performance and behavior and also included the indirect effects on job operations through the variable of the effectiveness of job performance and behavior. As the human capital had the direct negative effects on organizational performance. However, the developed model matched up the empirical data. Furthermore, it revealed the quantitative research was relevant to the characteristics of human capital that affected the job performance of the organization, that is, the capacity of production planning, working throughout the process, writing a standard operating procedure, having knowledge on performance standard and skills on problem analysis, having skills on problem analysis, job instruction, and operating the Microsoft Excel.
