Abstract:
The objectives of this research is to 1) study the requirements of disabled people in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) 2) study the factors affecting the requirements of disabled people in EEC and 3) study guideline to rehabilitate people with disabilities to work effectively in government and industrial sectors in the EEC. The researcher used both qualitative with collaborative research by in-depth interviews16 disabled rehabilitation specialists and quantitatively by collecting data 400 of disabilities persons in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). The statistical data analysis was performed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and multiple regression analysis (MRA) The results of the study showed that the requirements of the disabled are at a high level with an overall average of 3.598. The requirement for quality of life improvement is at a high level with an average of 3.718, while the requirement for work in the enterprises was moderate and has an average of 3.460 and the requirement ofdisabledpeople for rehabilitation to work is at a high level with an average of 3.618. The factors affecting the requirements of the disabled people were public health services, occupation and social acceptance. While factors affecting the requirements of disabled people in the improvement of quality of life were social acceptance and public health services. The factors affecting the requirements of disabled people in the need of work in the enterprises were publichealth services, occupation and social acceptance, and factors affecting the requirements of disabled people in the rehabilitation for working is the occupation. Guidelines for the rehabilitation of the disabled to be able to work effectively can be summarized in 8 aspects as follows: 1) Policy 2) Treatment of disabled people 3) Physical and Mental rehabilitation 4) Training, skills and occupation 5) facilities and environment 6) integration of disabled people organizational networks 7) welfare and benefits and 8) safety at work.
