Abstract:
The objectives of this study were : 1) to develop a courseware entitled Photoshop for sixth year secondary school student with the efficiency criterion of 80/80; 2) to find an effectiveness indicator of the courseware; 3) to compare learning achievement and analyze the critical thinking before and after using the courseware entitled Photoshop base on the difference in computer literacy 4) to compare learning achievement and analyze the critical thinking after using the courseware entitled Photoshop of student having the difference in computer literacy; 5) to investigate the durability in using the courseware entitled Photoshop for learning of students having the difference in computer literacy.
The sample group in this study consisted of 79 sixth year secondary school students of Salehpum phittayakom School, Salehphum districrt, RoiEt province, RoiEt Education Area Region 3. These students were enrolled in 2nd semester, school year 2007 and they were divided into 2 groups (Cluster Random Sampling). A computer literacy test was conducted with the sample group in order to sort them into 2 groups group first included those having a high level of computer literacy and second group include those having a low level of computer literacy. Each group comprised 20 students. Instruments used in this study were : 1) the learning program 2) learning achievement test with 4 multiple choices (40), Occupation and Technology group 3) critical proficiency test with 4 multiple choices (30 item). Obtained data were analyzed by using percentage, mean, standard deviation and ttest was used for hypothesis testing. Results of the study revealed the following : 1) The courseware entitled Photoshop for the student group having a low level of computer literacy had an efficiency value of 82.16/80.37 and 82.33/80.50 for the student group having a high level of computer literacy. 2) The effectiveness indicator value of the courseware entitled Photoshop for the student group having a low level of computer literacy was 0.6349 and 0.6510 for the other student group. 3) The students using the courseware entitled Photoshop had a better learning performance and critical thinking than before using the courseware. (statistical significance level at .05) 4) The students using the courseware entitled Photoshop had a better learning performance and critical thinking than before using the courseware
based on the level of computer literacy. (statistical significance level at .05) 5) The students having different level of computer literacy, after using the courseware entitled Photoshop, had no difference in learning achievement and critical thinking. (statistical significance level at .05) 6) The students having different level of computer literacy had no difference in durability in learning.
In conclusion, the courseware entitled Photoshop had an efficiency and effectiveness toward learners. Besides, it can be applied to facilitate learning activities for learner development to meet the desired learner characteristics.
