Abstract:
This study aimed to: 1) develop an online training package based on collaborative learning to improve mathematics test scores of Primary 6 (Grade 6), 2) investigate the students achievement after using the online training package based on collaborative learning, and 3) study the learning effectiveness index of the online training package based on collaborative learning.
The population in the study was Primary 6 (Grade 6) students from 11 schools in Thong Nam Ngam School group studying in the second semester of the academic year 2020. The sample group was purposively selected from three schools which had the lowest academic test results, including 12 students from Wat Bang Poon School, 13 students from Wat Chiang Rak School, and 14 students from Wat Tha It School. The tools included 1) the online training package based on collaborative learning on solving the volume and capacity of rectangular problems and 2) pre- and post-training tests consisted of 40 items which had passed quality test.
The research results showed that: 1) the quality of the online training package based on collaborative learning to improve the mathematics test scores of Primary 6 (Grade 6) students, as a whole, was at a very good level (𝑥̅=4.80, S.D.=0.36). 2) The comparison of students test scores before and after training indicated that the students t-distribution = 24.42 which was higher than the t-distribution table. 3) The learning effectiveness index was at 0.71 in other words, the sample's knowledge increased by 71.00%. Thus it can be concluded that the online training packages based on collaborative learning could improve the students mathematics test scores on solving the volume and capacity of rectangular problems at a statistically significant level of .05.
