Guidelines for sustainable development in the MICE Industry (MICE) in the planned areas trade strategy in the lower central provinces 1 under the Process of managing supply chains based on Big Data
Abstract:
This objectives of this research were to study the current situation of the MICE industry, to study the current situation of the processes of supply chain management in the MICE industry and the utilization of Big Data by the MICE industry operators, to study the development of supply chain management in the MICE industry based on Big Data leading to the formulation of sustainable development guidelines in the MICE industry in the area based on the strategic plan of trade in the lower central provinces 1 under the processes of managing supply chains based on Big Data. This research was conducted using mixed method and quantitative research method with a field study using a questionnaire as a tool for collecting the data through the interview with 200 MICE entrepreneurs in the area based on the strategic plan of trade in the lower central region 1 and via in-depth interview with 15 informants consisting of international agency representatives, government and private agencies and associations which promote the MICE industry. The results revealed that the guidelines of sustainable development in the MICE industry were discovered as follows: a pilot center for the green MICE industry; a food production and service center; safe products which meet world standards, eco-tourism center; and civilization and all 4 types of history of MICE industry. Moreover, the three significant strategies were discovered as follows: the 1st strategy referred to the development of safe products, MICE industry, international standard commerce and services supporting the MICE industry with an innovation; the 2nd strategy referred to the center for historical-based ecotourism and civilization of in the lower central provinces 1; and the 3rd strategy referred to the development and promotion of border trade under business and investment in the MICE industry to achieve both local and international trade and investment
