Leadership based on Path-Goal Theory of School Administrators and Job Motivation of Teachers under Vocational Education in the Three Southern Border Provinces
Abstract:
The objectives of thesis were 1) to study the level of Leadership based on Path-Goal Theory of school administrators under vocational education in the three southern border Provinces 2) to study the level of job motivation of teachers under vocational education in the three southern border Provinces 3) to compare the Leadership based on Path-Goal Theory of school administrators under vocational education classified by, gender, age, educational and work experience 4) to compare the Job Motivation of teachers under vocational education classified by, gender, age, educational and work experience and 5) to study the relationship between Leadership based on Path-Goal Theory of school administrators and Job Motivation of teachers under vocational education. These group were teachers under vocational education, the sample size was determined using Taro Yamane total of 260 samples were obtained and simple random sampling. The instrument used in this research was questionnaire created by the researcher based on a literature review check the quality of research tools in terms of finding the straightness by, 5 experts. The analysis was done by means of calculating the index of item-objective congruence with a value between 0.60-1.00 and the confidence of the test by analyzing the sentiment of the questionnaire the value was equal to 0.98. The statistics used in this study were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, F-test, and correlation analysis.
The research finding was as follows:
1. From the results of studying information about the Leadership based on Path-Goal Theory the school administrators under the vocational education, It was found that the administrators of the educational institutes had leadership according to the method-goal theory. All aspects were averaged at a high level.
2. From the results of the study, the motivation of teachers' performance under the vocational education, It was found that overall and in each aspect at a high level.
3. From the results of comparison, the Leadership based on Path-Goal Theory of the school administrators with gender, age, highest educational. And different working experiences. There are no different opinions.
4. From the results, the comparison of teachers job motivation under vocational education with gender, age, and highest educational had not different motivation in working. But for teachers with different working experience motivation with the performance there were statistically significant difference at .05 level.
5. From the results of the analysis of the relationship between Leadership based on Path-Goal Theory of school administrators and job motivation of teachers, it also found that, relationship between leadership of school administrators and motivation in schools overall, performance of teachers under vocational education in the three southern border provinces of Thailand showed a positive relationship. And have high a correlation (r = .72) was statistically significant at .01 level.
