Abstract:
This quasi-experimental research was designed to study the Effects of Dental Health Education Program for Oral health care behavioral Modification among primary school in Phusang District, Phayao Province. The sample consisted of 66 students; 33 students were assigned to an experimental group and 33 students were assigned to a control group. Data were collected 12 weeks. Data were collected by questionnaire and record the amount of plaque. The statistics used for analyzing data were Paired samples t-test, and Independent samples t-test. The results of the study revealed that after the experiment, the mean scores of experimental group relating to knowledge, attitude and Oral health care behavioral were higher than before the experiment. Additionally, the mean score of dental plaque was significantly lower than before the experiment (p < 0.05). After the experiment, the mean scores of knowledge, attitude and Oral health care behavioral of the experimental group were higher than the control group. Also the mean score of dental plaque of the experimental group was significantly lower than control group (p < 0.05).
