Transformational Leadership of School Administrators and the Motive in Work of Teachers in Pilot Schools under the Educational Sandbox in Southern Border Provinces
Abstract:
This thesis purposes are to 1) study the transformational leadership of school administrators in pilot schools under the educational sandbox in southern boarder provinces; 2) study the level of motivation in work of teachers in pilot schools under the educational sandbox in southern boarder provinces; 3) compare the level of transformational leadership of school administrators in pilot schools under the educational sandbox in southern boarder provinces, categorized variables by gender and role; 4) compare the level of transformational leadership of teachers in pilot schools under the educational sandbox in southern boarder provinces, categorized variables by work performance and school size; 5) study the relation of transformational leadership and motivation in work of teachers in pilot schools under the educational sandbox in southern boarder provinces; and 6) compile recommendations about the relation between transformational leadership and motivation in work of teachers in pilot schools under the educational sandbox in the southern border provinces. The samples were 363 teachers and school administrators, determining size by Yamanes formula. Then, the simple random sampling is used and finally the sampling without replacement is done. The research tool is 4-part questionnaire. The applied statistics are frequency, percentage, average, standard derivation, T-Test, F-Test. When the difference was found, then use pair wise multiple comparison of Scheffes method and Pearson product moment correlation was applied.
The results are shown as follows:
1. Overall, the transformational leadership of the school administrators in pilot schools under the educational sandbox in southern boarder provinces is high.
2. The motivation in work of teachers in pilot schools under the educational sandbox in southern boarder provinces is at the highest level.
3. Comparing the level of the transformational leadership of school administrators in pilot schools under the educational sandbox in southern boarder provinces with categorized by gender and position, in overall has no difference in gender categorization. As aspect consideration, the ideal influence differs significantly in statistics at .05. As categorizing position, the overall is different with significant statistic at .001 except the intellectual stimulation differs significantly in statistics at .01
4. Comparing the level of transformational leadership of teachers in pilot schools under the educational sandbox in southern boarder provinces, categorized variables by work performance, the overall and each aspect are statistically significantly different at .001. As the comparing with categorized variables by school size, is different at .01 in overall, except responsibility is statistically significantly different at .001. As job promotion is not different.
5. The relation of transformational leadership of school administrators and motivation in work of teachers in pilot schools under the educational sandbox in southern boarder provinces, in overall has the high positive relation (r = .853) with statistically significantly different at .001. As considering each respect, most of them has quite high level of positive relation with significantly statistic at .001. except achievement which the positive relation is high as significantly different at .001.
6. The recommendations about the relation of transformational leadership and motivation in work of teachers in pilot schools under the educational sandbox in the southern border provinces, are systematically to solve the problem, the administrators should promote the teachers, learn, and consider by themselves. Then, stimulating the teachers for the creative thinking, recognizing the problems of education for finding the new solutions or educational innovation which is useful in area and organizations outstanding achievements. These will make the teachers satisfied and get the motivation in work more effective to accomplish as in pilot schools under the educational sandbox in the southern boarder provinces.
