Factors Related to Dental Health Behaviors of Prathom 6 and Mattayom 3 Students in Opportunity Extension Schools in Chiangkham District, Phayao Province
Abstract:
This descriptive researchaimed at studying dental health literacy, dental health behaviors and factors related to dental health behaviors of Prathomsuksa 6 and Matthayomsuksa 3 students in the educational opportunity expansion schools in Chiangkham district, Payao province. The research sample of total 209 people consists of 119 Prathomsuksa 6 students and 90 Matthayomsuksa 3 students. The data were collected using questionnaireconsisted of 3 parts; demographic, dental health literacyand dental health behavior. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics; percentage, mean, standard deviation, highest and lowest values and inferential statistics, Chi-square test and Pearsons product-moment correlation. The results showed that most of the samples were male (51.7% ), lower than 13 years of age (55% ), study in prothomsuksa 6 (56.9% ),no congenital disease (96.7% ), take care by father and mother (66.5% ), have dental health service history (90% )and no illness history (77.8% ). Their dental health literacy and dental health behaviors were in middle level. Factors associated with dental health behavior were age, educational level and dental health literacy. gence related to dental health behavior with a statistical significance level of 0.05
