Abstract:
This survey research was aimed to study the level of elderly quality of life and related factors related to the quality of life of the elderly in Nong Lom Subdistrict Dok Khamtai District, Phayao Province. The 298 samples were selected by Multi stage random sampling. Data were collected by interviewed questionnaires including personal data, self esteem, social support and quality of life. and analyzed by using requency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Chi-square and Pearson moment product. The result found that majority of elderly quality of life in physical activity (60.1%), mental health (54.5% ), social factor (52.8% ), environmental factor (60.8% ) and the overall quality of life (69.7% ) was in medium level. The factors associated with overall quality of life with a statistically significant at 0.05 level were age (p = 0.006), sex (p = 0.018), family status (p = 0.001) congenital disease (p = 0.037), education (p < 0.001), reading (p < 0.001), writing (p < 0.001), occupation (p < 0.001), income (p = 0.001), alcohol drinking (p < 0.001), exercise (p = 0.001), health service (p = 0.017), activity daily living (p = 0.001), mental state examination (p < 0.001) community participation (p < 0.001) and Allowance (p < 0.001)
