Abstract:
The objectives of this research are 1) to study the level of opinions on the
development of a new patient registration system using QR code technology 2) to
study the guidelines for developing a new patient registration system using QR code
technology. Data used in the study were collected from personnel involved in new
patient registration of medical records. A total of 59 persons were divided into 2 groups
as follow; 1) A group of 56 staff conducted a study on the level of opinions on the
development of a new patient registration system using QR code technology, using a
questionnaire to collect data; and 2) a group of 3 medical executives conducted an
interview about the guidelines for new patient registration using QR code technology.
The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentile, population mean and
population standard deviation.
The results of the research were divided into 3 parts: In part 1, the staff found
that the level of opinions about the attitude towards the development of this new
system overall, was at a high level. The aspect with the highest mean was in terms of
adoption of technology; in part 2, the executives found that the guidelines that
executives focus on are developing a standardized database management system that
takes into account the accuracy and security of data. Including the development of
personnel to be aware of and know using technology safely and protecting personal
data, and part 3 is the results of the study of the needs of both parts, the conclusions
were mutually agreed that both the staff and the executives were ready to develop
the new system, and has a support plan according to the proposed guidelines.
