Abstract:
The objectives of this research were to: 1) examine the coherence of job satisfaction factors affecting the turnover decision of front-line hotel staff in the new normal with empirical data; 2) study the relationship between job satisfaction factors and turnover decision of front-line staff in hotel business in the new normal era. The sample group consisted of 209 front-line employees of 5-star hotels using the questionnaire as a research tool. The results of checking the conformity of the factors found that after adjusting the statistical conformity with the following criteria: chi-square (x2) = 24.966, degrees of freedom (df) = 291.167, probability (p) = 0.680, harmonization index (GFI). ) =0.977, Adjusted Harmony Index (AGFI) =0.957, Residual Quadratic Index (RMR) =0.021, TLI =1.013, satisfied the criteria to consider compliance with the standard in all aspects. The study also revealed a negative correlation between job satisfaction factors and turnover decision which included: 1) Recognition, 2) Relationship with coworkers, 3) Work environment, 4) Organizational policy, 5) Job characteristics, 6) Work safety, 7) Compensation and welfare. The standard weights were .59, .57, .43, .42, .38, .37 and .28, each negatively correlated with the turnover decision. The standard weight value was -0.75. All observed causal variables were accounted for 56 percent of the variance in the turnover decision.
