U.S. public diplomacy : the case study of the Iranian Revolution
Abstract:
At a certain stage of time after the Second World War, public diplomacy was considered as a tool of soft power policy in numbers of counties. The United States was one of the initials states who utilized this type of power which was still continued until these days. Public diplomacy has its purposes in creating mutual understanding and trust among policy producer and targeted society ; however, there was a case of study of the Iranian Revolution which indicated that the public diplomacy of the United States did not provided expected outcome to both policy producer as the United States and targeted society as Iran. Presumably, the problems was from differences of both societies, yet, more of empirical evidences indicated that policy implementation and its purposes might be the major factors which influenced negative outcomes and led to the revolution at the end
