A development of efficiency tests for skill and proficiency of effective English usage in higher education by innovation for learning through information technology
Abstract:
The purposes of this study are to research and develop the efficiency tests for skill and proficiency of effective English usage in higher education by Innovation for learning through information technology, and to transfer new knowledge for effective improving of the quality of manpower in higher education level on skills and competencies in English usage in higher education through the tests and learning media packages of the test answering of the innovative learning of TOEIC (Test of English International Communication) through information technology. Throughout the research, the sampling groups should pass the tests with the criterion scores of at least 550 or above at least 80% of the trainees.
The 4 testing and learning media packages of the test answering were applied to collect the data on the 2 sampling groups of 76 and 72 samples, 148 samples totally. The two sampling groups of the Purposive Sampling method were selected for this study based on the defined qualification of the learners required to complete a course of study. For the defined qualification of the learners, they must have passed the achievement test of the English skills and competencies in the higher education level before joining the 4 learning packages of the developed Efficiency Tests for Skill and Proficiency of Effective English Usage in Higher Education by Innovation for Learning Through Information Technology research. The results of the study could show that at least 80% of the participants of the two groups could be able to learn and pass the test effectively throughout the Efficiency Tests for Skill and Proficiency of Effective English Usage in Higher Education by Innovation for Learning Through Information Technology with the achievement of the TOEIC criterion testing scores of at least 550 according to the defined hypothesis.
