Abstract:
The purposes of this study were 1) to study level of students and graduates
opinions towards the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program in industrial technology
education, 2) to study level of opinions of administrators, supervisors and related
personnel to the performance of graduates, and 3) to investigate opinions of the
experts, lecturers, and the program member committee for the program, based on
CIPP Model. The study employed an evaluation research approach, collecting the
data form six groups of participants comprised of 1) three experts, 2) five members of
the program committee, 3) five lecturers., 4) fifty students who are studied in the
B.Ed. program in Industrial Technology Education, 5) fifty graduates from the B.Ed.
program in Industrial Technology Education, and 6) Five of the administrators,
supervisors and related personnel. The research instruments were questionnaires and
construct interviews.
The research findings were summarized as follows:
1. Overall, the level of students and graduates opinions towards the
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program in Industrial Technology Education were rated
at the high level ( x = 4.13, SD =.49).
2. Overall, the level of administrators, supervisors and related personnel
opinions to the performance of graduates were rated at the high level ( x = 4.41,
SD =.52).
3. The three experts, five members of the program committee, and five
lecturers expressed that the philosophy of the program, objectives, structure, and
the program courses were appropriateness and practical application. However, the
number of process to transfer of the credits should be reduced, or improve
curriculum into the continued 2 years curriculum. More up-to-date materials and
online media used for Industrial Technology Education should be provided. Overall
the quality of students from the B.Ed. program in Industrial Technology Education
was satisfying, which met achieve the program objectives, but should be enhanced
more potentials such as work disciplines, responsibility, ability to communicate
foreign language, and time management.
