Abstract:
ABSTRACT
This research aimed to: 1) study the level of transformational leadership of school administrators; 2) study the level of teamwork of teachers; and 3) analyze the transformational leadership of school administrators affecting teamwork of teachers in Nakhon Pathom Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. The sample was 285 teachers in schools under Nakhon Pathom Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, derived by proportional stratified random sampling as distributed by school size. The research instrument was a questionnaire constructed by the researcher with the content validity between 0.67 - 1.00. The internal consistency reliability coefficients were 0.97 for transformational leadership of school administrators and 0.99 for teamwork of teachers. Data were analyzed with percentage, mean, standard deviation, and stepwise multiple regression.
The findings of this research were as follows:
1. Overall and in specific aspects, the transformational leadership of school administrators was at a high level. The aspects were idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration, respectively.
2. Overall and in specific aspects, the teamwork of teachers was at a high level. The aspects were human relations, participation for work, same goal, and communication efficiency, respectively.
3. The transformational leadership of school administrators in the aspects of individualized consideration (X4), idealized influence (X1), intellectual stimulation (X3), and inspirational motivation (X2) together predicted the teamwork of teachers at the percentage of 82 with statistical significance level of .05. The regression equation was:
