The study of mathematical problem solving capabilities on ratio, proportion and percentage using the 5e learning cycle with mathematical problem solving process for mathayomsuksa 1student of Klaeng Wittayasataworn school
Abstract:
The purposesof this research were 1) to compare the mathematical problem solving capabilities on ratio, proportion and percentage of mathayomsuksa 1 student after using the 5E learning cycle with mathematical problem solving process with 70 percentage criterion and 2) to compare the mathematical learning achievement on ratio, proportion and percentage of mathayomsuksa 1 student after using the 5E learning cycle with mathematical problem solving process with 70 percentage criterion. The target group were 40 mathayomsuksa 1/9 studentsof Klaeng Wittayasataworn School in the second semester of the 2019 academic year. The research instruments were the learning management plans in ratio, proportion and percentage, the mathematical problem solving process in ratio, proportion and percentage test with reliability of 0.70 and the mathematical learning achievement test with reliability of 0.60. The hypothesis were tested using t-test. The research revealed that 1) the mathematical problem solving capabilities on ratio, proportion and percentage of mathayomsuksa 1 student after using the 5E learning cycle with mathematical problem solving process was higher than 70 percentage criterion statistically significant at .01 level 2) the mathematical learning achievement on ratio, proportion and percentage of mathayomsuksa 1 student after using the 5E learning cycle with mathematical problem solving process was not higher than 70 percentage criterion statistically significant at .01 level.
