Abstract:
Waste water treatment plant is like a large factory with a large amount of energy consumption. According to every step of waste water treatment processes need energy supply. Dindang domestic waste water treatment plant is the largest waste water treatment plant of Bangkok Metropolitan. The average of the electrical energy consumption for treatment process is 1,630,308-kilowatt hour per month. It is found that Dindang domestic waste water treatment plant comprises of six treatment units in which each unit will have specific objective. Main appliances installed for treatment process such as pumps and motors. From the preliminary energy audit and analysis, the results showed that at the head level of 28.3 meter, pump efficiency from calculation is in the percentage of 77 in which it is lower than the result when considering from pump performance curve. Also, for motor performance evaluation by using load factor of motor should be greater than or equal in the percentage of 70 as the criteria, found that mostly motor operated with the suitable electrical power when compare with the load demand
