A study of supervision performance in a form of a school network group of the school administrators under the Ubon Ratchathani primary educational service area office 3
Abstract:
The research aimed to: 1) study the conditions, 2) compare opinions of the samples classified by genders, educational qualifications, and working experiences, and 3) investigate supervision performance problems and guidelines for developing the supervision performance in a form of a school network group of the school administrators under the Ubon Ratchathani Primary Educational Service Area Office 3. The samples were school administrators under the Office of Ubon Ratchathani Primary Educational Service Area 3 from 209 schools in five districts. The research instruments were a five-rating scale questionnaire with the reliability value at .85 and an interview form. The statistics used to analyze the data collected from the questionnaire were percentage, mean, standard deviation. The statistic used to analyze the data collected from the interview form was content analysis.
The research findings were as follows.
1. The conditions of the supervision performance of the school network group of the
school administrators under the Office of Ubon Ratchathani Primary Educational Service Area 3 was found that the overall of the conditions was at a high level.
2. The comparison of the school administrators opinions towards the supervision performance of the school network group of the administrators under the Office of Ubon Ratchathani Primary Educational Service Area 3 was found that the male and female administrators did not have different opinions while the administrators having different educational qualifications and working experiences.
3. According to the study of the supervision performance problems and guidelines for developing the supervision performance of the school network group of the administrators under the Office of Ubon Ratchathani Primary Educational Service Area 3, the findings indicated in the five following aspects. In the aspect of planning for the supervision, the findings showed that the most administrators did not know what the needs of the personnel development of each school were and what the destination conditions wanted the needs to improve. The guideline used to plan for the supervision to evaluate the needs of the school development was the consideration of the conditions. In the aspect of the teamwork skill development, the findings indicated that the teachers in the school network group had so much more different opinions than each other. The guideline for developing the teamwork skills was that there should provide the communication systems between the teachers in the school network group. In the aspect of the career development, the findings revealed that the teachers still lacked of various knowledge and ability. The guideline for developing the careers was that there should provide the trainings in more various projects. The organizers should do the survey for the teachers needs before organizing the trainings to provide knowledge for the teachers.In the aspect of the controlling, monitoring, and following the supervision, the findings points out that the school administrators lacked of the controlling, monitoring, and following to help the teachers. The guidelines used to control, monitor, and follow the supervision were the school administrators had to operate in the forms of the following, taking care to assist the teachers, controlling, and supporting the teachers to work successfully. In the aspect of the assistance providing to the teachers directly, the findings showed that the teachers quite had a lot of work. The guideline used to assist the teachers was that the school administrators needed to build or reinforce motivation for the teachers who had outstanding works by creating morale and encouragement to the supervisees.
