Abstract:
The purposes of this research were 1) to study the current and expected teachers perception towards the student care system. 2) to assess the teachers needs towards the student care system; and 3) to compare the teachers need towards the student care system under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 6, classified by school size. The 362 teacher samples were selected by multistage sampling. The rating-scale questionnaire was used as a tool with its confidence of current teachers perception at 0.98 and expected one at 0.99. The data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation and modified priority needs index (PNIModified) and One-Way ANOVA as well as the Scheffe s test. The results of research revealed that 1) the current perceptions of teachers ranging from small, medium and large schools were at high level (x̄ = 4.07, S = 0.83), (x̄ = 3.81, S = 0.58) and (x̄ = 4.04, S = 0.56) whereas the expected perceptions at highest level respectively (x̄ = 4.57, S = 0.53), (x̄ = 4.67, S = 0.36) and (x̄ = 4.58, S = 0.49). 2) when assessed which dimension was the first needs for each school size, it was found that the small- sized school teachers placed the administration and supervising system first, the medium-sized school teachers placed operation and the large-sized school placed the administration system. 3) The teachers in different school sizes have different opinions on the need assessment towards the student care system at .05 level.
