Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to develop an effective web-based instruction on the network equipment system for the vocation certificate level and to compare the learning achievement in the instruction using pretest and posttest results. A group of 25 vocational certificate students major in Business Computer at Boonthavorn Technological College who enrolled in Introduction to Computer Networks course was chosen as a sample group by random sampling method. The instruments of this research were: 1) a web-based instruction on the network equipment system for vocation certificate level; 2) the quality evaluation form which was divided into 2 aspects : content and technique of multimedia technology; 3) an achievement test consisted of 25 items with 4 choices each. The index of item objective congruence (IOC) is between 0.67 and 1.00, the difficulty is between 0.35 and 0.65, the discrimination is between 0.30 and 0.50, and the reliability is 0.83. Mean, standard deviation and t-test were employed to analyze the dependent samples. The findings showed that : 1. Quality of web-based instruction on the network equipment system for the vocational certificate level is good in all three aspects: content, technique of multimedia technology, and quality, at (x̄ = 4.49, S = 0.49), (x̄ = 4.36, S = 0.44), and (x̄ = 4.42, S = 0.47), respectively. 2. The efficiency of the instruction was 80.36/80.80 which met the criteria.
3. The difference in learning achievement on equipment in a network system before and after using the instruction was statistically significant at .05 level.
