Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to study learning achievement and science process skills of seventh grade students using the Backward design. The participants of this research were 33 of seventh grade students in the second semester of academic year 2016 at Watratsattha School, Chonburi Province. They were selected through the cluster random sampling.
The research instruments consisted of lesson plans using the Backward design, learning achievement test, and science process skills test. The data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation, dependent sample t-test, and one sample t-test. The results of this research ware as follows;
1. The students posttest scores of learning after using the Backward design were statistically significant higher than the pretest scores at the .05 level.
2. The students posttest scores of learning after using the Backward design were statistically significant higher than the 60 percent criteria at the .05 level.
3. The students posttest scores of science process skills after using the Backward design were statistically significant higher than the pretest scores at the .05 level.
