Effects of a non-formal education program to develop work cooperation skills based on saraniyadham of village health volunteers (VHVs) in Roi-Et Municipal Area
Abstract:
The purposes of this study were to 1) develop the non-formal education program to develop work cooperation skills based on Saraniyadham of village health volunteers (VHVs) in roi-et municipal area; 2) compare effects of work cooperation skills based on Saraniyadham of village health volunteers (VHVs) between before and after experiment; 3) compare effects of work cooperation skills based on Saraniyadham of village health volunteers (VHVs) between control and experiment group. This was quasi-experimental research. The subjects were 40 village health volunteers (VHVs). They were divided into 2 groups: 20 were in the experimental group and 20 were in the controlled group. The activities were organized for 30 hours. The research instruments were the non-formal education program to develop work cooperation skills based on Saraniyadham, the work cooperation skills based on Saraniyadham test, the follow up questionnaire of work cooperation skills based on Saraniyadham test, and the program evaluation test. The data were analyzed by using Means (Mean), Standard Deviation (SD), independent-samples t (t-test), and analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) at .05 level of significance. The results of this study were : 1) There were no significant differences at the .05 level of the means of the work cooperation skills based on Saraniyadham before the experiment between controlled and experimental group. 2) There were no significant differences at the .05 level of the means of the work cooperation skills based on Saraniyadham of controlled group between before and after the experiment. 3) There were significant differences at the .05 level of the means of the work cooperation skills based on Saraniyadham of experimental group between before and after the experiment. 4) There were significant differences at the .05 level of the means of the work cooperation skills based on Saraniyadham after the experiment between controlled and experimental group.
