Abstract:
The research of Guidelines of Managing Resources for Education and Tourism Centre
at U -Thong National Museum, Suphan Buri Province aims at implementing the results of
analysis to create concepts for proposal of the model for Managing Resources for Education and
Tourism Centre at U -Thong National Museum, Suphan Buri Province by using the area of
U-Thong National Museum as the case study for providing knowledge of education and tourism
to visitors.
According to the survey, it was found that the special area of U-Thong Ancient City
has potentials to attract tourists to study and do sightseeing. However, it still lacks the information
sources to provide knowledge and the sources which are certified for standard of information
accuracy and accepted by scholars. Based on the research population, it was unanimously agreed
that U -Thong National Museum should be the center providing academic and tourist information
which tourists can rely on when they visit tourist attractions located at the special areas for
sustainable tourism in U-Thong Ancient City. The research populations, including three age
ranges, were interested in academic and tourist information. Therefore, it was recommended that
a variety of information should be available for access, and several media should be created
to meet the needs of all three age groups and should include both indoor and outdoor
presentations. By building of conceptual model for resources management based upon
the analysis results obtained from each sample group, it was found that the important factors
influencing the achievement of the center establishment consist of various principles such as
organizational administration, personnel management, area management, knowledge management,
media creation, service provision, and techniques which must be combined appropriately
to enable the establishment and ensure sustainable operation of the center.
