Abstract:
This research aimed: 1) to study the level of problem-solving ability of undergraduate students who
received experience according to constructivist concepts and normal experience management; and 2) to
compare the problem-solving skills of bachelor degree students before and after they experienced the
learning method-based constructivist concept and general concept. the samples were 60 first-year
undergraduate students. they were divided into two groups, the control group and the experimental group.
the tools used were problem-solving skills questionnaires. the feature evaluation form and the satisfaction
evaluation form. statistical use of this study includes average, percentage, standard deviation, t-test. the
findings showed that the problem-solving skills of undergraduate students before and after the experiment
was organized according to constructivist concepts and normal experience. there was a significant different
at the .05 level with the mean scores of problem solving scores being very good (𝑋 ̅ = 34.00, s.d. = 3.32)
and the group with normal experience has the average scores at a medium level (𝑋 ̅ = 26.82, s.d. = 4.73)
by the average of the ability to solve problems. the group that experienced the constructivist method of
teaching was considered higher than the control group that experienced the traditional method.
