Abstract:
The research was qualitative research. The research was aimedto (1) study a cultural
landscape and context of community development at the Church of St. Phillip-Jacob (Huaphai),
(2) to give guidelines on management of cultural landscape and environment at the Church, (3) to
study guidelines on preservation of arts and architecture at the Church and (4) to analyze data on
arts-architecture at the Church. The research methodology was conducted through management of
cultural landscape in order to promote a unique cultural area. Moreover, the guidelines for
preservationof information on arts and architecture of the Churchand a heritage on cultural
landscape of the community were brought to develop in this research.
The research revealed that the Catholic community had an interesting 136years history
and it deserved for next generations. Besides, the overall characteristics of the Thai applied
architecture was its uniqueness. Also, the preservation of arts and architecture of the Church of St.
Philip-Jacob (Huaphai) was done to secure a local syllabus and handbook forvisiting the church;
history of Catholic were prepared to provide to the public as well as to present information on
history learning and architecture preservation of the Catholic community. The information was
aimed to present to The Association of Siamese Architect under Royal Patronage.
