Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to; 1) compare students learning achievement after learning through Conceptual STEAM with the 70 percent criterion, 2) compare students creative thinking skills before and after the learning activities through Conceptual STEAM and, 3) study the attitude of students after learning through the STEAM approach. The population and sample group in this research comprised; 1) population of 40 of Prathomsuksa 4 students in the Banlaemtan School, 2) the sample comprised of 20 of students from Prathomsuksa 4 at Banlaemtan School who were studying in the 1st semester of B.E. 2562 selected by cluster random sampling. The research tools included; 1) lesson plans of the STEAM approach physical properties of the material and status of matter, 2) learning achievement test, the degree of difficulty was between 0.25 0.80 and discrimination power was between 0.30 0.90, the reliability index was at 0.92. 3) creative thinking test, was reliability index of 0.71 and, 4) attitude toward learning activities through conceptual STEAM test, the discrimination power was between 0.440.83, the reliability index was at 0.91. The collected data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation, one sample t-test and paired t-test
The research findings were summarized as follows:
1. Prathomsuksa 4 students learning achievement after learning through the STEAM approach was at 85.75 percent which was significantly higher than the set 70 percent with a statistical significance at the .05 level.
2. The creative thinking of Prathomsuksa 4 students after learning through the STEAM approach was higher than before learning with a statistical significance at the .05 level.
3. The attitude toward the learning activities through STEAM approach of Prathomsuksa 4 students were positive at the highest level.
