Effects of mathematics learning activity management using cooperative learning stad technique with the polyas problem solving process of prathom suksa 4 students
Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to; 1) compare mathematics learning achievement of students in Prathomsuksa 4 before and after learning activity management using cooperative learning STAD technique with the Polyas problem solving process, 2) compare mathematics problem solving ability of students in Prathomsuksa 4 before and after learning activity management using cooperative learning STAD technique with the Polyas problem solving process and, 3) to study team work of studying of Prathomsuksa 4 students in studying activity management using cooperative learning STAD technique with the Polyas problem solving process. The sample group in this research consisted of 18 Prathomsuksa 4 students studying
in Buriram Province, The cluster random sampling method was used in selecting students for the study. The research instruments were; 1) the lesson plans using STAD technique with the Polyas, 2) a learning achievement test, 3) a problem solving ability test and, 4) team work behaviors observation forms. The data were analyzed by Percentage, Mean, Standard deviation, and the
t-test for dependent sample.
The research results were as follows: 1) Students mathematics posttest learning seores of learning activity management and cooperative learning STAD technique with the polyas problem solving process was significantly higher than the pre-test at .05 level, 2) The post-test scores of student mathematics problem solving ability in the using learning activity management using cooperative learning STAD technique with the polyas problem solving process was significantly higher than the pre-test at .05 level and, 3) The team work of Prathomsuksa 4
the polyas were at a good level.
