Abstract:
The purpose of this cross sectional and descriptive research was to study the stress level of Grade 12 students at Satri Phattalung School Muang District Phattalung Province. The immense of stress condition, including factors associated with stress such as personal factors (sex, birth step, accomodation, monthly incomes, learning programmes, learning result, learning expectation, health condition) family factors (family relationship, occupation, parents' marital status, parents'education, parents incomes) and psychosocial factors (friend relationship, boy/girl friend relationship, and teacher relationship) were studied. Two hundred fifty of Grade 12 students at Satri Phatthalung School in first semester of year 2005 were asked to complete self reported questionaire which consisted of students general information questionaire and the stress test of Dougan. The questionaire constructed by the researcher was validated by experts. Statistics used in this study were percentage, means, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA and sheffe. The results showed that most of Grade 12 students were stress in average (70.4%). For the factors associated with stress, it found that related personal factors of students having different in level of stress were birth rank, accomodation, parent's expectation in entrance and sleeping problem. For family factors whose having different in level of stress were parent relationship, relationship between parent and student, relationship between cousin and student, mothers education level and mothers occupation. Finally, psychosocial factors whose having different in level of stress were relationship with friend, relationship with boy/girl friend and relationship with teacher.
