Abstract:
The study of The Study on the Successful Sexually Violent TV Dramas and Its Implication on Thai Television Dramas Industry has been chosen to be an independent study topic that focuses on issue of society. This study is a contemporary topic in applied marketing. Objectives are to identify an audience of sexually violent Thai television dramas, to identify the distribution strategy for sexually violent Thai television dramas and, to identify key success factors that make sexual violence in Thai television dramas successful. Secondary research was gathered through various credible sources such as journals, newspapers, Internet, etc. Furthermore, qualitative data was attained from in- depth interviews. In-depth interviews were conducted with 40 interviewees, both male and female, who were between 14-68 years old living in Bangkok and vicinity area and watching at least two episodes of TV dramas per week. In conclusion, this study is of Thai audience behavior and preference to violence in Thai television dramas ; therefore, knowledge gained is specific to a Thai audience and the Thai television drama industry. This knowledge will be beneficial for the Thai television drama industry in what is a highly competitive business environment
