Abstract:
The purposes of this research were: (1) to study safety behavior at work of
production workers; (2) to compare safety behavior of production workers with personal status
and; (3) to find the relationship between safety behavior and knowledge about safety principles.
The samples were 207 people, using a questionnaire as the research tool. The statistics used for
data analysis were percentage, standard deviation, t-test, One-way ANOVA and correlation.
The results of the research can be summarized as follows: The safety behavior of
production workers at Isuzu Motors Company (Thailand) Limited. Gateway City Industrial
Estate, Chachoengsao was ranked at a good level when considering each variable ranked in
descending order as: management, environment, tools & machinery and equipment and
operations. The comparison of safety behavior of production workers with personal status
revealed that workers who have different gender, education level and job position had the same
safety behavior, but workers who have different age and work experience had different safety
behavior. The statistics for correlation between safety knowledge production workers safety
behavior were found to be related with a correlation coefficient of .170.
