Abstract:
The objectives of this research were 1) to study the organizational culture of employees of Thai Suzuki Motor Company Limited, 2) to study the learning organization of employees of Thai Suzuki Motor Company Limited, and 3) to study the effect of organizational culture on the learning organization of employees of Thai Suzuki Motor Company Limited. The research population comprised 597 Thai employees working in the production support department of Thai Suzuki Motor Company Limited. The sample size was 240 employees, calculated by the Taro Yamane formula. The stratified sampling and simple random sampling methods were used. The research instrument for data collection was a questionnaire with a 5-level rating scale. The reliability of the questionnaire was 0.97. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient and multiple regression. The research results were as follows: 1. The organizational culture of employees of Thai Suzuki Motor Company Limited was at the high level overall ( = 3.85, S.D. = 0.54), while consideration of each aspect found that the highest mean was the aspect of individualism ( = 4.10, S.D. = 0.68), following by the aspect of masculinity and femininity ( = 3.90, S.D. = 0.62), the aspect of power distance ( = 3.88, S.D. = 0.68), the aspect of uncertainty avoidance ( = 3.75, S.D. = 0.53), and the long-term orientation ( = 3.63, S.D. = 0.68). 2. The learning organization of employees of Thai Suzuki Motor Company Limited was at the medium level overall ( = 2.88, S.D. = 0.82), while consideration of each aspect found that the highest mean was the aspect of learning dynamic ( = 3.02, S.D. = 0.88), the aspect of technology application ( = 3.00, S.D. = 0.84), the aspect of organizational change ( = 2.84, S.D. = 0.89), the aspect of knowledge management ( = 2.80, S.D. = 0.90), and the aspect of empowerment ( = 2.76, S.D. = 0.90). 3. The organizational culture and the learning organization of employees of Thai Suzuki Motor Company Limited had a relationship at the low level (rxy = 0.486), while consideration of each aspect found that the aspect of masculinity and femininity had negative correlation (rxy = -0.672), the aspect of uncertainty avoidance had correlation (rxy = 0.590), and the aspect of individualism had correlation (rxy = 0.422) at the statistically significant level of 0.05. When using multiple regression for analysis, it was found that the organizational culture affected the learning organization at 23.60 percent (R2 = 0.236). In addition, the aspects of masculinity and femininity (β = -0.506), uncertainty avoidance (β = 0.383), and individualism (β = 0.347) affected the learning organization of employees of Thai Suzuki Motor Company Limited at the statistically significant level of 0.05.
