The study of learning achievement and teamwork skills of MTTS electronics students through learning management by student teams achievement division and the conventional
Abstract:
This research aims 1) to compare the academic achievement of 2nd year MTTS electronics students on circuit control devices in Industrial Electronics subject, before and after learning with student teams achievement division and the conventional and 2) To study teamwork skills of 2nd year MTTS electronics students on circuit control devices in Industrial Electronics subject with student teams achievement division and the conventional. This research is a pre-experimental research whose sample are two classes of 2nd year MTTS electronics students which made up to 76 students in total by cluster random sampling. One class is conditioned to learn with student teams achievement division techniques and another class is condition to learn in the conventional method. Tools used in this research are 1) a four-week circuit control devices subject lesson plan in the student teams achievement division 2) practical worksheet on circuit control devices 3) quizzes to test learning outcomes on circuit control devices 4) assessment form for teamwork skills. Data is gathered by the researchers from both the student teams achievement division class and the conventional class over the period of four weeks and compare academic achievements and teamwork skills between the two groups. Data analysis is done with mean , standard deviation (S.D.), analysis of t-test for independent sample and Relative Gain Score.
The result shows that 1) The results from the student teams achievement division learning management class resulted in higher learning achievement than the conventional learning management 2) It is found that the teamwork scores of the experimental group is average score in topic 4 is participation in teamwork the highest with the average score of 4.77 and the average score in the topic 9 is creativity within the team the lowest with an average rating of 4.40.increased and relative gain score by 100% (36 students) after first test, increased by 75% (27 students) after second test, and increased by 86.11% (31 students) after the third test whereas teamwork scores of the controlled group increased by 75% (30
students) after first test, no development after second test, and increased by 75%
(30 students) after the third test.
