Abstract:
The objective of the research project was to design and develop a physical simulator of the electrical communications system of an excavator with the purpose of using it as an educational tool and therefore improve the servicing effectiveness of Bangkok Komatsu Sales Co., Ltd. (BKS) engineers and mechanics. In conjunction, presentation media was also developed to facilitate the use of the simulator. To determine the educational effectiveness of the project, a written test was developed to evaluate learning in theoretical knowledge, equipment knowledge, and troubleshooting knowledge. Prior to evaluation, the physical simulator was used for training BKS employees. As a result, it was measured that the participants knowledge in all parts increased on average by 30 percent , which exceeds the target of 20 percent.
