Abstract: งานวิจัยเรื่องคีตลักษณ์วิเคราะห์กลองยาวอีสาน ในอำเภอพล จังหวัดขอนแก่น มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาประวัติกลองยาวอีสานและ วิเคราะห์คีตลักษณ์ของ วงกลองยาวอีสานดั้งเดิม วงกลองยาวอีสานดั้งเดิมผสมประยุกต์และวงกลองยาวอีสานประยุกต์ในเขตอำเภอพล จังหวัดขอนแก่น ดำเนินการวิจัยโดยศึกษาข้อมูลจากเอกสาร สัมภาษณ์ สังเกตแล้ว นำมาศึกษาวิเคราะห์ และนำเสนอในรูปแบบพรรณนาวิเคราะห์ ผลการวิจัยพบว่า กลองยาวอีสานในอำเภอพล จังหวัดขอนแก่น ได้เริ่มมีการริเริ่มนำกลองยาวอีสานดั้งเดิม มาจากจังหวัดมหาสารคาม นับตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2534 เป็นต้นมา จากนั้นชาวบ้านในอำเภอพล จึงเริ่มพัฒนารูปการแสดง ก่อตั้งเป็นวงกลองยาวอีสานดั้งเดิมผสมประยุกต์ และวงกลองยาวอีสานประยุกต์ตามมา กลองยาวทั้ง 3 ประเภท เริ่มแรกมีบทบาทเพื่อใช้ใน งานประโคมแห่ ประเพณีบุญฮีตสิบสองและงานมงคลของหมู่บ้านเท่านั้นเมื่อศึกษาคีตลักษณ์วิเคราะห์ของวงกลองยาวอีสานแต่ละประเภท พบว่ามีความแตกต่างกันไปตามวัตถุประสงค์ในการใช้งาน แต่มีการใช้จังหวะพื้นฐานเดียวกัน คือ ลายกินป่นกุ้ง หากแต่มีความแตกต่างไปตามการดัดแปลงให้เข้ากับท่ารำและลีลาการบรรเลงของวงกลองยาวอีสานแต่ละประเภท จากการศึกษารูปแบบการบรรเลงวงกลองยาวอีสานดั้งเดิม มีเพียงกลองยาวอีสานผสมกับเครื่องประกอบจังหวะเท่านั้นเน้นการตีเฉพาะจังหวะกลองสลับกับการฟ้อน รูปแบบจังหวะมีความเรียบง่าย ไม่สลับซับซ้อนใช้ลายไหว้ครูบรรเลงนำก่อนการแสดง ในขณะที่วงกลองยาวอีสานดั้งเดิมผสมประยุกต์ มีการใช้เครื่องดนตรีไฟฟ้า เช่น พิณไฟฟ้า พิณเบส คีย์บอร์ด และกลองชุดเพิ่มเติมเข้ามา เน้นบรรเลงประกอบฟ้อนเป็นหลักเนื่องจากใช้เพื่อการแข่งขัน รูปแบบเพลงที่ใช้ในวงกลองยาวอีสานดั้งเดิมผสม ประยุกต์จึงมีการจัดเรียง โดยลายต่าง ๆ แบ่งการบรรเลงเป็น 2 ช่วง ช่วงที่ 1 บรรเลงในแบบดั้งเดิม มีการฟ้อนประกอบ ลักษณะทำนองไม่ช้าหรือเร็วเกินไป สามารถประดิษฐ์ท่าฟ้อนประกอบจังหวะได้ตามความสามารถของแต่ละวง และช่วงที่ 2 เป็นการบรรเลงประยุกต์โดยบรรเลงเข้ากับเครื่องดนตรีสมัยใหม่ ในทำนองลายลำเพลิน ถือเป็นการแสดงทักษะของผู้บรรเลงเครื่องดนตรีกลุ่มดำเนินทำนอง มีการบรรเลงกระสวนจังหวะกลองต่าง ๆ ประกอบการฟ้อนที่สนุกสนาน และสุดท้ายคือวงกลองยาวอีสานประยุกต์ มีการผสมวงเช่นเดียวกับวงกลองยาวดั้งเดิมผสมประยุกต์ลักษณะการบรรเลงจะบรรเลงแบบประยุกต์เฉพาะทำนองดนตรีเท่านั้นไม่นิยมบรรเลงแบบดั้งเดิม บทเพลงที่นำมาใช้ขึ้นอยู่กับความนิยมของผู้ฟังเป็นหลัก ตัดตอนเฉพาะส่วนทำนองขึ้นต้นแล้วจึงต่อด้วยลายลำเพลิน ซึ่งมีจังหวะและลีลาที่เร้าใจ กลองยาวอีสานและเครื่องกำกับจังหวะทำหน้าที่เพียงตีจังหวะหลักเท่านั้นโดยมีกลองชุดทำหน้าที่บรรเลงแทน ปัจจุบันวงกลองยาวทั้ง 3 ประเภทยังคงมีบทบาทในอำเภอพล จังหวัดขอนแก่น แต่สังคมที่เปลี่ยนไปทำให้การใช้วงกลองยาวในงานบุญประเพณีลดน้อยลงคงเหลือไว้ซึ่งบทบาทการให้ความบันเทิงในขบวนแห่ และใช้ในการแข่งขันโดยรูปแบบการแสดงมีการปรับเปลี่ยนไปตามค่านิยมของคนในท้องถิ่นเป็นสำคัญ

Abstract: This research focused on studying history and musical analysis of Klong Yao Drum of I-San culture in Phol district, Khon Kaen province, which the drum bands consist of three types: a traditional band, traditional-applied band, and applied band. The research was conducted based on standard research methodology including gathering documents, interviewing, observing, analysis and descriptive analysis presentation. The results of the research showed that Klong Yao Drum in Phol district, Khon Kaen province was adopted from the traditional Klong Yao Drum band from Mahasarakham province since 1991. After that, local folks in Phol district have developed playing the traditional-applied band and applied band respectively. At the beginning, all the band types have been played in celebrating customs and ceremonies for a period of twelve months. The musical analysis of each Klong Yao I-San band type showed that it was played for different purposes of performance, but the basic rhythms are the same that is called Lai Kin Pon Kung. However, each drum types differ in the adaptation of dancing and performance. Based on the study, the playing pattern of the traditional band was the combination between Klong Yao I-san Drum and accompaniments. It emphasized on the drum rhythm and dancing with a simple pattern and uses Lai Wai Kru to pay homage before the performance. Meanwhile, the traditional-applied band included electrical music instruments such as I-San lute, bass, keyboard, and drum set into the band and focused on dancing style because it can be used for competitions. Therefore, the pattern for playing the traditional-applied band was then arranged into two parts. First, the traditional playing was performed using normal tempo, which is not too slow or too fast. Dancing style can be applied based on the playing skill of the band. Second, the applied playing will be performed together with I-San lute and keyboard using Lai LumPlearn to show playing skill of the musician as well as the entertaining dancer. Finally, the applied band arrangement was similar to the traditional-applied band, but it only played the applied rhythm. The playing songs depended on the audience, with cut at the beginning of the pattern then followed with stimulating Lai LumPlearn. The percussions were only used to control the rhythm while the drum set to play the melody instead. Recently, all the bands play important role in Phol district, KhonKaen province. However, the change of the community decreases the role of the Klong Yao Drum band in celebrating cultures, but it remains its role as entertainment in the procession and it is also uses for competitions. The playing style was changed based on the popularity of local people.
