Abstract:
This research aimed to study the expectation and satisfaction of Bangkok's elderly people in the health center services and analyze modified priority need index and determined the relationships between gender, age, education level, occupation, average income and expectation as well as their satisfaction in the health center. This study was a survey research. Data were collected from 400 elderly people who were using a health center in Bangkok, analyzed and presented in frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation and determined the relationship using a Chi-Square test. The results showed that 1) The overall expectation as well as the overall satisfaction of Bangkok's elderly people in the health center was at a moderate level. 2) Modified priority need index had the highest point on public relation section, and security was the second highest point in the health center. 3) Moreover, the research found that the relationship between expectation and personal factors, gender and age had no significant relationship (p=.05) whereas education level, occupation, and average income showed significant relationship (p=.05). The relationship between satisfaction and personal factors, of gender, education level and occupation were significantly related (p=.05) but age and average income did not show significant relationship (p=.05). From the results of this research, it is suggested that the health center in Bangkok should improve several services, using marketing strategies to help in gaining advantage in the competition. In addition, the health center should consider personal factors of the customers which affect the expectation and satisfaction that can be used as a marketing strategy to achieve customer need satisfaction.
