Abstract:
This independent study aims to study the personal factors and transportation factors which affect the safety of Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) passengers in Bangkok Metropolitan Region.
The sample group used in this study is 400 Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) passengers in Bangkok Metropolitan Region. The data in this study were collected by questionnaires. The statistics used to analyze data were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Independent Samples t-test, One-Way ANOVA, and Regression Analysis at the confidence level of 95 percent.
The results of the study yielded two findings. First, personal factors, which are occupation and monthly income level, were found to be affecting the safety of Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) passengers in Bangkok Metropolitan Region. Second, transportation factors, which are routes, vehicle condition, components of transportation equipment, and terminals, affect the safety of Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA)
passengers in Bangkok Metropolitan Region at the statistical significance level of 0.05.
