Electrical load monitoring system and missing value estimation of energy consumption of multi-unit air conditioners
Abstract:
The needs to improve efficiency of energy usage require a lot of data so that planing and optimization can be performed. In this work, we propose a low-cost load monitoring system whose wireless sensor nodes are consisted of a ESP8266 microcontroller and PZEM sensor. The ESP8266 microcontroller is widely used in many IoT projects, and has a built-in Wi-Fi module. The PZEM sensor can measure voltage and current. Furthermore, its current rating is 100A sufficient to measure most of appliances in buildings. Unfortunately, many IoT projects have a missing value problem. The main reasons of this problem are communication failure, supply failure and microcontroller failure. To prevent this problem, we also apply machine learning algorithms to estimate the missing value for our load monitoring system
