A Relationship between Leadership and Moral Ethics Based on the Ten Royal Virtues of the Buddhist Scripture School Administrators in Nakhon Phanom Province.
Abstract:
The trend of globalization causes changes in many aspects. The moral ethics become one of the crucial factors of good leaders responsibilities. The purposes of this study were 1) to investigate the leadership of the Buddhist Scripture School administrators in Nakhon Phanom province, 2) to examine the Buddhist Scripture School administrators moral ethics based on the ten royal virtues, 3) to find out the relationship between the leadership and moral ethics based on the ten royal virtues of the Buddhist Scripture School administrators in Nakhon Phanom province. The sample selected by purposive random sampling consisted of 112 teachers and administrators in the Buddhist Scripture Schools in Nakhon Phanom province. The instrument used to collect the data was a five-rating scale questionnaire with the discrimination power between 0.35 and 0.92, and the reliability of the questionnaire was 0.91. The information obtained was analyzed using percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearsons Product Moment Correlation Coefficient.
The results showed that (1) the leadership of the Buddhist Scripture School administrators in Nakhon Phanom province was found to be at a high level both in the overall and the individual aspects; (2) the moral ethics based on the ten royal virtues of the Buddhist Scripture School administrators in Nakhon Phanom province were found to be at a high level both in the overall and the individual aspects; (3) the relationship between the leadership and the moral ethics based on the ten royal virtues of the Buddhist Scripture School administrators in Nakhon Phanom province was found to be positive both in the overall and the individual aspects.
