Abstract:
The objectives of the study are: 1. the level of needs and factors that affect the need for social
welfare management for the elderly in the Bang Nam Phueng Subdistrict Administration Organization, Phra
Pradaeng District, Samut Prakan Province and 2. compare the average needs to be organizedSocial welfare for
the elderly in the Bang Nam Phueng Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Phra Pradaeng District, Samut
Prakarn Province Classified by personal factors The sample group in this study was 258elderly people in the
Bang Nam Phueng Subdistrict Administrative Organization at 95% confidence level. The tools used were
questionnaire, data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation. And testing the relationship
between the characteristics, needs, and needs of the elderly on social welfare management with T-Test for the
characteristics of the population that can be divided into 2 groups and F-Test (ANOVA) for the characteristics
of the population can be divided into 3 groups or more. In the case of significant differences, statistical
differences are examined in pairs. At the statistical significance level of .05 by using the formula according to
Bonferroni's method to compare the sample mean. The study indicated that: Personal data showed that the
majority of elderly people were female, aged between 70-74years, marital status, having primary education
level, not occupation/unemployment. And the average income per month is not more than 2,000baht. As for the
survey of the level of social welfare needs for the elderly, it is found that the elderly have a high level of overall
needs ( X = 4.43) and when considering the aspect of health ( X = 4.71), life safety (mean 4.63), recreation (
X = 4.61), education and career promotion ( X = 4.25) and each aspect of housing ( X =3.99). The
hypothesis testing found that the personal factors that affect the level of social welfare needs of the elderly are
the elderly who have sex, age, status, education level and different occupations are not difference in the level of
demand for social welfare for the elderly. As for the different income per month are different levels of needs for
social welfare management for the elderly at the statistical significance level of .05. The elderly group with an
average monthly income between 4,000-6,000bahthad higher level of needs than the group. Elderly with an
average monthly income of 10,000baht or more.
