The efficiency of wastewater treatment from the Demonstration School, Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University Royal Patronage with a multi-step grease trap system
Abstract:
The objective of this research was to study the effectiveness of reduced the multi-stage grease trap
at cafeteria of Demonstration School of Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University under the Royal Patronage. The
result showed the water quality from the cafeteria after treatment using by the multi-stage grease trap was,
Turbidity was decreased at 76.39 percent, suspended solids were reduced at 82.50 percent, Fat oil and grease were
decreased at 79.31 percent and the oxygen demand of the microorganisms to decompose organic matter was
reduced at 60.19 percent. Comparison with the performance of multi-stage grease trap, the efficiency of grease and
oil this grease trap has elimination better than the standard from Pollution Control Department. Therefore,
the grease and oil elimination ability of Multi-Step Grease Trap System was 68.2 percent. In conclusion, this
research was confirmed that the use of Multi-Step Grease Trap System improve the quality of household
wastewater from small canteen.
