Abstract:
Equipment in HV substation is very important to the distribution system.
Abnormality and deterioration of equipment affect to stability and reliability of
electrical system, Therefore, this project aims to assess the condition assessment of
current transformer, voltage transformer and surge arrester in the HV substation.
Condition assessment of HV equipment substation consist of visual inspection and
technical information by Weighted Scoring Method and Failure of Probability Index
(%6FP) evaluation. Weighting technique is used to determine important weight testing
methods of devices by using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), Testing methods for
current transformer are such as ration test, contact resistance test and Insulation
resistance test. Scoring technique is divided into 1-3 levels by classifying on actual
evaluate equipment consisting of good, moderate and bad. Microsoft Excel program is
used to collect data, calculate and analyze results. Finally, FP of equipment can be
calculated in 15 HV substations. The evaluation results will be divided into 3 levels
good, medium and bad condition. According to the evaluation level, the maintenance
types are separated into 1) regular maintenance 2) increase the frequency of
maintenance and monitoring of the test 3) equipment must be improved urgently.
Finally, abnormal incidents of equipment and cost of HV equipment maintenance can
be reduced in effective way.
