Abstract:
The objectives of the research entitled Man and Drama Management: A Case Study of
Bangsaen Lakorn Art Thesis Festival before Graduation, Burapha University were aimed to
study a process of problem solving in drama management Bangsaen Lokorn Art Thesis from
2009-2015 CE of the 4th undergraduate students before their graduation, and find out the
guidelines for sustainable drama management. The research conceptual framework was the
Posdcorb concept for administration process proposed. The concept of man management was
adapted the concept of a contemplative living proposed as well as the concept of education as
sustainable development proposed. This research was collected by documentary research,
in-depth interview, and participatory observation in viewing drama performance and attending
a seminar after drama performance in order to analyze festival management process of each batch
of students.
The research revealed that the overall of undergraduate students management process
was not systematically and delicately done. Incidentally, each time of work was accompanied
with meeting among friends in a group; they were assigned in accordance with their skillfulness
or interest. Their meetings were not vividly summarized or specified for date, time, and
performance but they depended on readiness of each production. However, the batch 5 and the
batch 6 undergraduate students were different from other batch of students, i.e. their work had
been done with delicate planning system and clear specification of date and time. The
management process was done in accordance with POSDCORB management process. The
number of audience for this drama festival was increasing, causing a drama watching culture. The
team work of this batch was complimented by teachers and junior students. Importantly, their
work experiences were passed on and implemented to a presentation plan for festival
management guideline for junior undergraduate students.
