Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to: 1) compare primary 3 students mathematics problem-solving skills before and after learning by using cooperative learning management with STAD model into KWDL technique, 2) compare primary 3 students mathematics problem-solving skills by using cooperative learning management with STAD model into KWDL technique and normal technique.
The samples were primary 3 students of Wat Wanboon school in Pathum Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. Two classrooms were chosen by cluster random and were divided into experimental group and control group with 30 students in each group. The learning management lasted for 8 hours. The research instruments were 1) two lesson plans based on cooperative learning management with STAD model into KWDL technique and the lesson plans based on normal approach, and 2) the mathematics learning achievement test for analytical mathematics problem-solving skills. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics including mean scores, standard deviation, and t-test.
The results indicated that 1) the students who studied by cooperative learning management with STAD model into KWDL technique had higher mathematics problem-solving skills than before studying at the statistically significant level of .05, and 2) the students who studied by cooperative learning management with STAD model into KWDL technique had higher mathematics problem-solving skills than the students who studied by normal approach at the statistically significant level of .05.
