Abstract:
The objective of this study to develop energy equation from energy consumption of
Daikin Industries (Thailand) Co., Ltd. By multi-regression analysis from Minitab14 software
program was used to develop the equation for prediction of company energy consumption in the
future. Independent variables for prediction of energy consumption were production result,
average temperature and relative humidity. Prediction data obtained from this study will be used
to develop energy conservation strategies and annual plan by policy. It was found that
independent variables which could effect energy consumption were product quantity rather than
average temperature or relative humidity. Electric consumption equation has Co-efficient of
determination (R2
) = 88.40%, P-value = 96.90% and equation error = -0.03%. Meanwhile, Energy
consumption equation of liquid petroleum has R2 = 93.80%, P-value = 99.30% and equation error
= -0.10%. Equation of total energy consumption has R2
= 90.90%, P-value = 98.30% and
equation error = -0.03%. Prediction from analysis of energy consumption was used to develop
objectives and target of company energy conservation plan to reduce energy consumption
approximate 5% within 5 year.
